This is this year's 1st ornament. It's from an old 1989, I think, BH&G Christmas magazine and is called Woodland Angel Mini Stocking. I used red aida and 2 DMC colors. I could have done it on linen but I didn't have the right color red that I wanted and this particular aida fabric was a bit stiff, giving the stitches a nice crisp look.

My "ornaments to stitch" list has at least 3 doz ornaments on it, so I will have lots of choices during the year. Of course, I always seem to find some that aren't on my list to stitch as well! I'm going to try to stick to going from my list this year tho as some of them have been on my list since I started it and I certainly don't want to be accused of neglecting my own choices, right?

Woohoo Mary!! This is such a cute ornie! And, I for one, would never accuse you of such a thing as neglecting your own ornie choices. Of course, I'm good at making lists and then stitching nothing from it! LOL
